The academic year comprises of five terms. The Pool is closed for two weeks at Christmas and four days over Easter weekend. Each class is 30 minutes long
Payment of Fees
Fees are payable strictly in advance, on week eight of a ten week term (week seven of a nine week term) in order to guarantee the same place for the following term. On week nine lesson places are offered to existing customers looking to move up classes or change days. On week ten the places are offered to the waiting list. Your liability to pay our fees arises upon the allocation of your child to a class. Your child’s place in any class is at risk should payment not be received under the terms described.
Missed Class by the Teacher
In the event that your child’s class is unavoidably cancelled, Wirksworth Swimming Pool will either provide the class on an alternative date, or provide you with a credit on the following term’s fees. For those children no longer attending Wirksworth Swimming Pool at the end of the current term a reimbursement of the cancelled class(es) will be made by cheque at the end of term.
If at the time of booking a place / paying the fees you notify Reception of any pre-booked holidays which will cause an absence to a lesson Wirksworth Swimming Pool will issue a voucher for the value of the missed lessons for any other pool activity we provide. The voucher can also be passed onto any new starter booking into our lesson programme for the first time.
Classes Missed by Your Child
We are unable to offer any refund or discount from our termly fee for classes missed by your child, unless in exceptional circumstances. We may offer alternative lesson time when spaces are available to compensate for the lessons missed but this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Such circumstances which may or may not be pertinent are at our complete discretion.
We reserve the right to appoint a new teacher at any time and will notify you accordingly. We may, at times (and without notification), need to provide an alternative teacher for a class or classes due to illness or for any other unforeseen circumstances.
Cancellation of Course
Wirksworth Swimming Pool reserves the right to cancel classes, and issue a refund for remaining lessons if necessary.
